DAILY REFRESHING IS NOT A LUXURY' OY FIGHTS SWEAT ODOR WITH TWO-IN-ONE FORMULA
Sweating is a natural reaction. It cleans our pores, removes waste products and cools us. Sweat is odorless, but the bacteria and fungi on our skin cause an unpleasant odor. Pharmacist Inge Louf (54) from Leper developed a gel that she has been selling since June 1, 2018 under the brand name OY. She started a lab at home, where she worked with raw materials that tackle the cause of the sweat odor.
"There's no need to soap yourself from head to toe every day," Louf explains. "But there are areas that need to be refreshed daily. Classic deodorants only mask the odor without removing the cause. OY combats the bacteria and fungi that cause the bad odor. It is a two-in-one gel that contains soap and deodorant, which you use every morning in the armpits, groin area and skin folds." Louf's youngest son Gaëtan designed the logo, packaging and promotional material, and now son Gauthier is also working as a marketer in her company, Laboratoires Pi Care. In two months, the entrepreneur was able to convince more than sixty pharmacies to sell her products. Her goal is to sell 30,000 tubes in the first year through a thousand Belgian pharmacies. "We also sell our products through our webshop," she says.
